Old Wave
The pieces in old wave are analyzing the hybridity of textiles as medium, material and metaphor. The entity of textile structure - its flexibility and softness - invites on abstraction and reflection. Drapes, folds, waves and forms of motion materialize the echo of rhythm, repetition and eternity. Based on Gilles Deleuzes’ „The Fold“ in which the world is a body of infinite folds and surfaces that twist and weave through compressed time and space, pieces illustrate a scene of that thought. Repetition as a sign of parallel dimensions, rhythm as a catalyst of multiple becomings of individuals. In meaning of continuous repetition, may it be fashion or other social trends, the displayed objects are trying to paraphrase this redundancy - We are not „new wave“ - it’s just old waves that come back in different shapes.
